OLED screen that can be rolled on a pencil

Sony to develop OLED screen (Organic Light Emitting Diode), the most flexible in the world. It was so thin and flexible, color screen that can be rolled on a pencil.

Quoted from Daly Mail, Thursday (05/27/2010), prototype OLED screen that created a Japanese electronics company's size and 4.1-inch super-thin material made of organic semikondukter bandaged. Only 0.08 mm in thickness, but the resolution of 432 x 240 is sufficient to produce a clear enough picture.

In a demo, the OLED screen can show its ability to continuously display the moving image, when the screen is rolled up and played many times. Sharpness of the image of 100cd/m2 with a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

"Even when the screen is rolled up and played up to 1000 times and stretched, the ability to display in the produce moving pictures did not decline," said a spokesman for Sony, which is not mentioned by name.

Someday, this kind of thin OLED screens can be used for flexible mobile devices, television and electronic magazines or newspapers
