Today most laptop weighs about 1.5 kilograms. However, the presence of a super-tiny chip ---- even more petite than a human fingernail --- will make laptop weighing only 0.5 pounds.
Super tiny chip was developed by scientists at the National Nano Device Laboratories, Taiwan. The scientists claimed that they had successfully cram more transistors into a chip than any other chip developers.
"Various electronic gadgets such as mobile phones and laptops can be smaller, lighter and cheaper thanks to this technology," claims Yang Fu-liang, head of the lab.
