Blu-ray technological developments do not create an Apple computer vendor, compelled to wear it to a homemade computer products, the Mac. Apple CEO Steve Jobs stated, there would be no Blu-ray on Macs until whenever.
Jobs revealed this in an email reply to a reader who asked about the possibility Mac Rumors Blu-ray in Desktop Macs in the future. Thus was launched Crunch Gear, Thursday (01/07/2010).
"Blu-ray is only one successor to the CD and audio format just like any other high-end and this will be defeated by the internet download formats," Jobs wrote in the email.
Jobs said the download formats via Hulu or iTunes rental system will continue to rise. And people prefer to download rather than have to buy a blu-ray chips.
Blu-ray Driver just an alternative option, and Apple will not add drivers Blu-ray player.
Blu-ray technology known as optical disc storage media currently used for storage of high-definition video and data. Although physically similar to a CD and DVD, Blu-ray is a big leap, in terms of storage formats and memory capacity.
Blu-ray technology involves using a blue laser to read and write data to disk. A single layer Blu-ray disc can store 25GB of data, while the two-layer disc blu-ray can store 50 GB of data
