Technology Help the Blind 'See' Through the Tongue

Experienced the miracle of a soldier who lost his sight.With the help of technology, now he can 'read' the words and 'see' with his tongue.
Quoted from Gizmodo,, a young corporal named Craig Lundberg is losing sight due to rocket propelled grenades hit in 2007.
Then he uses a device called a BrainPort a pair of glasses equipped with a video camera. This device is connected with the lollipop-like device placed in the mouth.
With BrainPort, what will the camera captured convert into electrical signals and sent to the tongue. Then the brain will process the electrical signals and translate them into images.
This device is still a prototype, but as soon as possible will be produced.BrainPort presence will provide new hope for the physically blind to see.
