Advanced Micro Devices, California has launched a number of new processors to complete the six-core Opteron chips, previously codenamed Istanbul. The Company has announced five new models in AMD 6-core lineup, with three aims 2P server, while the other two have been designed to 4P/8P server, will be available starting from $ 455 to U.S. $ 2649. For 2P server, the new lineup including Opteron 2439 SE, 2.8GHz processor that comes with a 105 watt TDP, the 2425 HE, clocked at 2.1GHz and with a TDP of 55 watts and 2423 HE, with a frequency of 2.0GHz and 55 watts.
4P/8P for servers, also announced the AMD Opteron 8425 HE is clocked at 2.1GHz and TDP 55 watts and have a Opteron 8439 SE clocked at 2.8GHz with the 105 watt TDP.
