Intel, the chip company does not want to fall behind their rivals with innovation in the AMD launch new products.
After AMD launched their new products to market with a 45-nanometer chip, Intel is planning to introduce a product with 32-nm architecture. To implement this plan, the company plans new investment around U.S. $ 2 billion for the next two years.
The company will bring 32-nanometer "Westmere" chips targeted to the server, desktop and notebook PC as the beginning of September this year.
The announcement is surprising that in accordance with the roadmap of Intel, the company announced a delay to the launch of 32-nm processors.
But now according to the latest announcement, Westmere processor will launch two-and six-core variants: Clarkdale and Gulftown, respectively. Clarkdale processors will be launched in September 2009 from their mobile phone with the variant, codenamed "Arrandale." Company is expected to make a six-core processor Gulftown available on the market in 2010.
